The history of the Whaleshokker WALVIS has large gaps. An exact year of construction is not known, but is probably around 1920. Due to the discovery of a silver coin from 1918 in the mast base, this year is assumed as the year of construction. In 2015, the WALVIS moved to Carolinensiel with new owners. From there, the owners used the WALVIS for trips to the East Frisian Wadden Sea. At the end of 2020, the WALVIS came to her current owner and was moved to Bremerhaven to her new home port.
