Where the River Weser and the North Sea waters meet you will find Bremerhaven, the largest city on the German North Sea coast.

In the tourism area Havenwelten Bremerhaven (Harbor Worlds) enjoy fantastic attractions and an exciting means of transferring knowledge in the Climate House Bremerhaven 8° East, in the National German Maritime Museum, in the Zoo at the Sea and in the German Emigration Center, awarded as „European Museum of the Year 2007“. The Havenwelten reaches to the bank of the Geeste River where you will find the Historical Museum and the Wencke-Dock, Germany's oldest dry dock.

Fish restaurants, the sea fish cooking studio and fish smoking „live“ can be found in the Shop Window Fishery Harbor. Today the old fishery harbor is a strolling mile with exciting attractions such as the science center Phänomenta, the "Expedition Northern Seas" and the museum trawler „Gera“. You will also find a lively atmosphere in the Overseas Harbor. There is a constant hustle and bustle at the container-terminal, where the world's largest container ships dock and also at the automobile-terminal, Europe's largest hub for automobile transshipment. Guests can only visit this area up close with the HarborBus and will pass by the Cruise Terminal Bremerhaven, one of Europe's most modern terminals.
