A traditional ship
The "Heimdal" is one of a total of six tugs in operation for Svitzer Towage GmbH in Bremerhaven. Since its commissioning in May 2019, it has been bringing ships of all types and sizes safely to the quay with its 70-ton bollard pull. Its main tasks include towing container giants up to 400 meters long.
The Svitzer "Heimdal" is moored all year round with the other tugs in the Svitzer Towage Bremerhaven fleet behind the dyke near Lohmannstrasse.
