Fish Station 360°

A 360° show all about fish in the middle of the Shop Window Fishery Harbor.

The 360° show in the Fischbahnhof (Fish Station building) impressively illustrates the close connection between the history of fishing since the end of the 19th century and the development of Bremerhaven's fishing harbor.

Visitors accompany fishermen on an audiovisual, space-filling journey on a fishing boat across the sea and dive into the underwater world of shoals of fish. Historical pictures bear witness to the small-scale former hustle and bustle in the fishing port and contrast with today's modern fishing and processing techniques, which are brought to life using the latest 360° technology.

Before and after the 360° staging, which is played every 30 minutes, media stations provide information about the history and present of the fishing port of Bremerhaven and its fishing fleet. Visitors learn more about fisheries research, fisheries policy, sustainable fishing, fish processing and, of course, the fish themselves.

Afterwards, the special exhibition area in the event area of the Fischbahnhof (fish station building) invites visitors to take part in changing theme shows all about fish.
