Another concert highlight for the Windjammerfestival has been announced
A world star sets anchor for the Sail 2020 in Bremerhaven: Chaka Khan. Stadthalle Bremerhaven has been able to sign the successful singer from the USA as a highlight of SAIL 2020 for a concert on Friday, 21.08.2020 at the Seebäderkaje. Chaka Khan is one of the most gifted and famous music icons in the world. As a singer, songwriter, actress, author, philanthropist, entrepreneur and activist, Chaka Khan has influenced generations of music creators during her four decades as an artist. The ten-time GRAMMY® winner is at home in R & B, pop & rock, classical music, country and world music. She is revered by millions of fans and like-minded people for her timeless, unparalleled vocal style and image. Nobody but the Queen of the Soul, Aretha Franklin, said that Chaka is "a unique, first-class singer".
Her biggest hit was Chaka Kahn celebrated in the late 1970s and early 1980s. With titles like "Sweet Thing", "Once You Get Started", "At Midnight", "Do You Love What You Feel" and "Is not Nobody", the gifted singer stormed the charts worldwide. In particular, the latter song is still a stubborn catchy tune, and both in the original and in cover versions is "Is not Nobody" constantly heard on all radio frequencies. To date, Chaka has been working with other greats on the music scene, so she can count on the successful collaboration throughout her long career with such distinguished personalities as Quincy Jones, Dizzy Gillespie, Stevie Wonder, Prince, Steve Winwood, Mary J. Chaka Khan is still at the peak of her amazing vocal power, creating new projects and earning new accolades. Her latest single "Like Sugar" has received very good reviews; The track is from their brand new album "Hello Happiness". The new 7-track album, produced by the English production company Switch, was released on February 15, 2019 under Diary Records / Island Records.
