The shipyard group German Dry Docks is formed from the merger of the Rickmers Lloyd Dockbetrieb and the business unit ship technology of the MWB Motorenwerke Bremerhaven.

Since January the 1st 2013 around 100 employees are working with bundled competence of two former operating sites in the Kaiserhafen to achieve higher efficiency, more flexibility and thus achieve higher performance at competitive prices. German Dry Docks owns four docks and in cooperation with the Lloyd Werft has access to two more large docks. Thus in the Kaiserhafen six docks are available with up to 38m of internal clear width, 335m length and 11.50 m maximum draft on the keel blocks.

In addition to the main task - dry-docking and repair of ships - German Dry Docks also offers a mobile service in the so-called port repair. For unscheduled repairs that do not require dry-docking, the reliable staff is available to customers around the clock.

The Board consists of the Director of Rickmers Lloyd Dockbetrieb, Uwe Beck, and the former authorized representative of MWB Schiffstechnik, Detlef Nünke. The headquarters of German Dry Docks is at the Barkhausenstraße 60 in Bremerhaven.
