Old Town Circular Trail Lehe
Rediscover the trendy district
At first glance, the Lehe district may seem inconspicuous, but there are exciting things to discover here. Along the circular route from St. Paul's Church through Luther Street and Eupener Street, you will reach the popular Goethe Quarter. From here the route continues along Heinrich-, Potsdamer- and Gnesener Street to Eupener Street, which leads back to the starting point, the Paulus Curch. Along the route, which runs at ground level, the guest will find an Old Town Circuit information column with interesting and worthwhile information at the respective sights.
Right at the beginning you will see the birthplace of Lale Andersen, who became world famous with the song Lili Marleen. Again and again there are small mosaic pictures and colorful graffiti to discover. These decorate not only fences, but also multi-storey house walls. Although Bremerhaven was almost completely destroyed in the Second World War, magnificent house facades from the 19th century can still be discovered here. The Leher Pausenhof received mosaics at the summer academy of the Adult Education Center. Various sculptures decorate the entrances. The Goethe 45 of the Art Association (Kunstverein) Bremerhavens is a place where creative industries, fine arts and community life come together.
The old town circuit leads partly over paved streets and paths.
