Museum Train Bremerhaven - Bad Bederkesa
The track of the museum train runs between the maritime city of Bremerhaven and the moor spa Bad Bederkesa in the Elbe-Weser triangle
The track system and the railway between Bremerhaven and Cuxhaven were completed in 1896 and opened on 1 June of the same year. Passenger transport was abandoned on 26 May 1968 and freight transport was finally abandoned on 31 December 1993. The museum railway association is located in the station building in Bad Bederkesa. The stations Drangstedt, Knüppelholz, Debstedt and Langen follow in the direction of Bremerhaven before the line finally flows into the DB AG network at Bremerhaven-Speckenbüttel and leads via Bremerhaven-Lehe to Bremerhaven main station.
The train of the association is composed of the diesel locomotive V36 134 (year of manufacture 1943), several four-axle carriages (BPw4yg, B4yg, AB4yg), one baggage car for the transportation of bicycles (Pwghs 54) and one converted mail car (Post 2a / 14,5). A small locomotive of the type Köf II (year of manufacture 1949) stands ready for operation as a backup and construction train locomotive.
