Air Connection Heligoland from Nordholz
By plane to Heligoland
On the German North Sea Coast there are many islands, however none comparable to Helgoland. About 70 km away from the mainland the huge red sandstone rock with green backland rises from the water and presents itself with a unique flora und fauna and a mild, high sea climate due to the closeness of the golf stream. Heligoland is an oasis of calmness for stressed-out people and a unique natural monument that knows no environmental problems. But Heligoland is also a fascinating vacation and adventure island, a spa and health resort during all four seasons. At the same time everything you might think about Heligoland is a little different. On a short tour of Helgoland, you can discover a lot of valuable, useful, surprising and thought-provoking information about Germany’s only island on the high seas. Heligoland is truly unique.
There is always water, 24 hours a day. Independent of the tides you can go swimming on two beaches on the dunes. For your safety the following should be observed: Bathing and swimming only in lifeguarded areas, observing the given bathing times and the obvious danger signals.
