BIK Gallery 149

The Gallery

Within the framework of their exhibition programs the BIK Gallery 149 always gives artists from Northern Germany the opportunity to present their works.

The Exhibition Concept
The Bremerhaven Initiative for Culture (BIK) presents North German artists in the rooms of the Gallery 149.
Annually the association presents seven to eight exhibitions with a wide range of works of art in the areas of photography, painting, graphics and sculpture.
Aside from presenting exhibitions the association also establishes contacts to other artistic disciplines. Musicians, theater artists and authors are invited to concerts in the areas new music and for performances and presentations with literature and music.

The BIK Gallery 149 continually gives young artists the opportunity to show how they find new ideas, develop their own style, deal with cross-cutting aspects such as art and design, and after ending their studies, how they present themselves to the public with their first solo exhibition.
