Geeste southern breakwater light

A light was constructed on the southern breakwater of the Geeste estuary in 1869. It consisted of a lattice framework, the light being 8.3 metres above surface. This light was repaired from time to time and its basic construction remained modest compared with the facing northern light. The beacon of today was established in 1924 and displays a green light 15.4 metres above the surface.
