Oxygen path Grünhöfe

Recreational area located in the district of Geestemünde.

How much oxygen do trees produce and where do all the trees around us come from? These questions are answered by the 30 signs along the 1,800-meter-long oxygen trail in the middle of Grünhöfe, a district of Bremerhaven. The nature trail has been in place since November 2014 and features oak, horse chestnut, lime and rock pear trees, among others. It runs between Daimlerstrasse, Boschstrasse and Braunstrasse on an area the size of 42 soccer fields. The green oasis is suitable for nature lovers of all kinds, whether for strollers, joggers or school classes. Over 2,000 trees and large shrubs, perennial gardens and the adventure playground Captain's Island with a pirate ship await you. The site plan, which can be selected below, makes it easier to find your way around the small green "courtyard".
