"Thalassa" - Sailing ship

A former deep-sea trawler

The former deep-sea trawler was converted into a barkentine in 1995 and equipped for passenger travel. The "Thalassa" was built in 1980 for North Sea fishing and was converted into a three-mast passenger sailing ship in 1995. She is the largest seaworthy barkentine in the Netherlands and impresses with the classic lines of a traditional sailing ship. The more than 15 sails, five of which are square sails, give her an imposing appearance.

The "Thalassa" offers a multi-day voyage shortly before SAiL 2025. The three-masted passenger sailing ship will travel from Esbjerg in Denmark to Bremerhaven from August 9th to 13th. You can find more information about this voyage on this website .
