Alle zwei Jahre organisieren die Mitglieder des Regionalforums Unterweser - die Städte Cuxhaven und Bremerhaven sowie die Landkreise Wesermarsch und Cuxhaven - den „Tag des offenen Ateliers“.
In den Interimsjahren organisiert das Kulturamt Bremerhaven einen Tag des offenen Ateliers ausschließlich für Bremerhavener Künstlerinnen und Künstler. Im Jahr 2020 fand der Tag des offenen Atelies in Bremerhaven am 6. September von 11 - 18 Uhr statt.
