Also called a green lady
"Najaden" is a Swedish "Havskryssare", a so-called sea cruiser. The ship was built in 1948 by Rosättra Batvarv in Norrtällje (Sweden) according to the drawings of the designer Aake Ameen from teak and mahogany. Since her construction the ship has borne this name. Rosättra Batvarv still exists today and is the oldest boatyard in Sweden. The first owner of "Najaden" was a Stockholm merchant named Svante Möller. After him, the artistic director of the Swedish National Opera and famous opera singer Set Svanholm owned "2Najaden" for more than 30 years.
In 2013 the "Najaden" was sold by the Swedish previous owner and transferred from Stockholm to Kiel. The "Najaden" is sailing on the North Sea and Baltic Sea and regularly participates in meetings and regattas for classic yachts.
