Opening on 26 November at 6 p.m.
Lord Mayor Melf Grantz opens this year's Christmas Market in Bremerhaven in front of the Mayor Smidt Memorial Church „Große Kirche". The Gospelswingers provide the right musical background.

Slide on Theodor-Heuss-Platz
This year again, the popular toboggan run is located on Theodor-Heuss-Platz and provides a lot of fun for young and old during the entire pre-Christmas period. More information about the slide can be obtained from City Skipper Bremerhaven e.V.. The prices can be found on the train notices.

Irish corner
Directly behind the Mayor Smidt Memorial Church „Große Kirche" visitors can expect not only a warming fire with a glass of whisky or Irish beer but also a special music program every Advent weekend:
"Cole May" - singer and songwriter daily on 30th November – 2nd December 2018 and "Tess Callaghan" - daily on 7th – 9th December 2018; Friday and Saturday from 5 – 9 p.m. and Sunday from 3 – 7 p.m..
"Doc von den Pub Fiction" - Irish Folk Rock daily on 14th – 16th December 2018 and "Shadow Corner" - Traditional Celtic and Irish Folk daily on 2st – 23rd December 2018; Friday and Saturday from 5 – 9 p.m. and Sunday from 12 – 5 p.m..

Curling track
On 1st and 2nd December visitors can try their hand at curling. The curling rink is open on both days from 12 to 6 p.m. in front of the shopping mall Karstadt.

"Star Shopping"
Long shopping night on Thursday, 13 December 2018 until 10 p.m. in Bremerhaven city centre. Free parking in the multi-storey car park Havenwelten from 7 to 10.30 p.m.. Bus Line 502 runs every 15 minutes until 11 p.m.. A final highlight awaits visitors at 10.30 p.m. at the Mayor Smidt Memorial Church „Große Kirche" and the Christmas Market is open until 11 p.m..

School choir Stella Maris
The school choir will provide Christmas music on 5th December at 4 p.m. on the Theodor-Heuss-Platz.

Stilt walker
On Saturday, 08th, from 3.30 p.m. and Sunday, 09th, from 2.30 p.m. stilt runners as "angels" will inspire the visitors of the Christmas market in the Bremerhaven city centre.

Show-Dance-Group of the Heinrich-Heine-Schule
On 12th December at 3 p.m. a dance performance will take place on the Theodor-Heuss-Platz.

Advent calendar
Every day at 4.30 p.m. the Christmas Angel opens a door of the large Advent calendar on the Theodor-Heuss-Platz.

Santa Claus on 06th December 2018
From 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. PICO BELLO´s "Largest Santa Claus with marionette!" brings many children to the astonishment.

Santa Claus always on Saturdays and Sundays
Of course, you dear children, this year Santa Claus will come with his big Christmas bag every Advent weekend from 2 p.m. and will bring you little treats.

Church concerts
Every Advent Saturday, 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd December from 12 to 12.30 p.m., Christmas organ music with David Schollmeyer.

Children's make-up
On 15th and 16th December children's make-up will be applied under the canopy of the Karstadt shopping mall from 2 p.m. on.

Fairytale bus in front of the Mayor Smidt Memorial Church „Große Kirche"
Bremerhaven Bus presents the fairytale bus in front of the Mayor Smidt Memorial Church „Große Kirche" on December 9th from 1 p.m. like every year. Actor Christoph Finger reads about the most beautiful fairy tales and stories.

Little Christmas World
Every Friday from 3 a.m. to 8 p.m. as well as Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 8 p.m. opens the "Little Christmas World" on the Theodor-Heuss-Platz its large gates. In a cosy atmosphere under a sparkling roof of lights the visitors can expect a wonderful selection of handmade unique pieces and culinary surprises.

Family Day
Every Wednesday is Family Day at the Christmas Market with a varied program and small discounts.

Christmas pyramid at the Mayor Smidt Memorial Church „Große Kirche"
The biblical story is brightly illuminated on the 6-metre-high Christmas pyramid.

The Christmas Angel in the parish hall of the "Große Kirche" every weekend at 5 p.m.
The Christmas angel will announce an angel's message every Saturday and Sunday.

Winter magic on Theodor-Heuss-Platz
The Theodor-Heuss-Platz is transformed into a covered winter cottage village with a lot of program, tasty delicacies and all kinds of Christmas things. The saying of the restaurateurs: "Santa can't deny a delicious punch in honour."

Ice climbing wall
Equipped with professional climbing equipment, you can dare to climb the wall. On 22nd and 23rd of December from 12 p.m. in front of the Karstadt shopping mall.

Grogdorf on the church square
The cosy atmosphere in our Grogdorf, on the church square to enjoy, is a must for every Christmas market visitor. Whether with punch, a stiff grog, a delicious cocoa or the traditional Bremerhaven potato pancake, a visit to our Grogdorf becomes an experience. Time and again one likes to meet friends and relatives in Grogdorf for a little drink in a nice atmosphere. The Met stand also invites you to a tasty drink in its usual place.

Christmas house
Join in singing Christmas carols every Sunday or relax and listen to a cocoa or mulled wine from the fairy tale reading. Every Sunday from 3 p.m. Christmas fairy tales for children are read out here with free cocoa and popcorn. 4 p.m. is Christmas caroling for everyone.

Puppeteer
Every Monday at 4.45 p.m. a puppeteer lets his puppets dance on the Theodor-Heuss-Platz.

Blancke Trio
The contemplative closing concert of this year's Christmas market will take place on 23rd December at 4 p.m. at the Mayor Smidt Memorial Church „Große Kirche".
