Travel for All

Checked. Reliable. Detailed. Accessibility as a quality and comfort feature in Germany.

The project "Introduction of the labelling system "Travel for All" in the sense of a tourism for all in Germany" is a cooperation project of the German Seminar for Tourism (DSFT) Berlin e. V. and the Association Tourism for All Germany e.V. - NatKo, funded by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy.

The maritime city of Bremerhaven was awarded according to the "Travel for All" labelling system. It has developed three holiday inspirations with certified companies for people with disabilities. These holiday inspirations have different thematic focuses and enable you to experience Bremerhaven.

You can find all certified companies on the website of Germany.Travel.

Everything revolves around fish in the Shop Window Fishery Harbor. Smokehouses and maritime restaurants entice visitors with fish fresh from the smoke, exquisite specialties and hearty fish sandwiches. On the last German side trawler "Gera", the laborious work of the former fishermen can be experienced and in the fish cooking studio opposite, professional chefs let you look into their pots.

The ocean giants of these seas dock at Europe's longest river quay and are loaded and unloaded with the help of the towering container gantry cranes. A captivating experience that can be observed at close range during a round trip with the HarborBus (HafenBus). The Columbus quay is only a few meters away. This is where the most modern dream ships moor and take guests on cruises to distant destinations.

Bremerhaven has a lot to offer. With plenty of space, level paths and lots of fresh air, it offers comfort for all and is barrier-free in many areas.
